In a recent interview a Deutsche Telekom senior executive for innovation talks about the uptake of DLNA devices and Deutsche Telekom vision for Connected Life. One particular question attracted my attention. In the last answer Mr. Milczewsky describes a scenario that very much reminds me about iMediaShare for iPhone and uses it as a starting point to people’s journey to a more sophisticated digital life.
Finally the new version of iMediaShare for iPhone is in the App Store. Free edition was approved today by Apple and Premium is in progress. We hope Premium will be available soon. The new version is not a major release however it introduced several major improvements:
support for Samsung TVs as there were some issues with their communication stack
an optimization of internal data processing and caching resulting in a much higher performance of the application
bugfixing thus improving stability
I hope you’ll enjoy the new 2.1 release and please, don’t forget to rate/comment it in App Store. We’ll be also happy if we get your feedback either in our forum or mailing us at ims@bianor.com.
Another release of iMediaShare for Android is already available in Android Market. This time it is for the full featured Premium edition. It now supports all the features introduced earlier within iMediaShare 1.3 for Android. Most importantly all Android users would be able to share all their Facebook, Flickr or Picasa web albums right on the bigger screen of the TV. Thus it makes all your personal web multimedia stored on the most popular social networks to be accessible on the TV regardless your at home or you are at friend’s place.
All your feedback is highly appreciated. Rate the app in Android Market or drop us a line at our community forum.
On Jul 2nd we released a new version of iMediaShare Free 1.3 for Android. Listening carefully to your feedback we introduced some changes in the way of selecting photos from the image library. Instead of selecting all the images one by one now it is possible to choose the entire album. In addition we also added iMediaShare sharing to be available directly from Image Gallery application menu. The app is available for download from the Android Market.
I’m happy to announce we’ve just released iMediaShare Premium for Android! The major news is support for video and audio.
Video works great (including positioning) with Samsung Series 6 DLNA TVs and Xbox 360. PS3 unfortunately doesn’t play the video captured with the Android camera, but photos and audio still work great!
Today iMediaShare was announced as one of the ten finalists at AppCircus@Mobile 2.0 Europe! What an exciting news! The competition is really strong but we haven’t expected any different. Mobile 2.0 Europe is a one-day event for developers exploring the futures of mobile. It is sponsored by Nokia, PayPal, Blackberry, Ericsson, Telefonica, Orange, Vodafone and Windows Phone and some other very well-known companies in the mobile and telecom industry.
Being active users of our mobile application iMediaShare your opinion is very important for us to learn how we can improve our product to serve you even better.
We are conducting a survey about the convergence between social media and home entertainment systems, and your response would be highly appreciated as your feedback is of great importance to us.
